Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does a full day rafting trip last?

Plan for 6 to 8 hours from check-in to take-out. This includes your safety briefing, gear fitting, the river run itself, riverside lunch, and shuttle time. Actual time on the water is typically 5 to 6 hours.

  • Are full day trips suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. The Rambler (Class III-IV) and Bigwater (Class IV) are guided trips designed for guests with no prior experience, age 12 and up. Your guides handle the technical work and coach you through every rapid. Thunder Run (Class V) does require previous whitewater experience.

  • How much does a full day rafting trip cost?

Full day trips start from $200 per person for the Rambler, $225 for Bigwater, and $275 for Thunder Run. Group discounts of 10% are available. See our pricing and cancellation details for deposit and payment information.

  • What should I wear?

Quick-dry clothing, secure water shoes, and sunscreen. Avoid cotton. See our packing checklist for the full list.

  • What if it rains?

Trips run rain or shine. You are going to get wet anyway. We only cancel for unsafe river conditions, which is rare during the operating season.
