On our 3 day " T " trip, we push off the riverbank with all gear aboard our rafts in dry bags, severing, for a time, all contact with the outside world. On our first day, we descend from our put-in at Meral's Pool and raft through the technical rapids of Rock Garden and Nemesis continuing on through 7-8 miles of drops and chutes ending our day at our riverside camp above famous Clavey Falls and a delicious dinner under the stars.Day 2 we spend exploring swimming holes and waterfalls in nearby tributary creeks spilling into the Tuolumne, relaxing in the summer sun and absorbing the scenic beauty of the Sierra wilderness.
Day 3 we blast through Clavey Falls after which the river passes through several Class III rapids before entering the final Class IV section before takeout.
Whitewater Voyages operates trips on the Tuolumne River under permit from Stanislaus National Forest, which restricts the river to two guided trips per day and a maximum group size of 20 for 2-day and longer trips.
