Whitewater Voyages' River Park Adventure Camp
 You are warmly invited to camp for free at our fabulous Adventure Camp the night before and/or the night after your rafting trip with us on the South, Middle or North Fork of the American River or on any Yuba River trip.
Located in the Sierra foothills in the historic gold rush town of Coloma (near where Hwy 49 crosses the South Fork of the American) 35 miles east of Sacramento, our 7-acre river-beach campground awaits you with full creature comforts including warm showers, flush toilets, 2 gourmet camp kitchens, a store and dining areas for groups.
Also available at our Adventure Camp are an incredible variety of entertaining activities such as giant chess, volleyball, horse shoes, ping pong, foosball, hunker hawser, an inspiring nature walk, challenge course and a wealth of adventure games.
We even have an outside amphitheatre with terraced seating for viewing pictures of your run through the rapids on the American River!
 Local attractions located near our camp include great local restaurants, and a rustic country "night club" with a night club with live music and dancing.
Only one mile away is the James Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park where gold was first discovered in California in 1848.
This historic park features a museum with an ongoing schedule of films and guided tours, miles of great hiking trails, acres of gold rush artifacts and a fully functioning duplicate of the original saw mill built by Marshall for John Sutter in addition to a fully functioning blacksmith shop and many other period enterprises.
" We were a group of 13 who went rafting on the American River (South Fork). It was the most entertaining and exciting vacation we all had in a while. The crew were very friendly and the best I liked about Whitewater Voyages is their free camping. Even though it's free, this is one of the best camp grounds I have visited. Lunch provided during Rafting trip was the best you could ask for. Overall, I would rate Whitewater Voyages as one the best rafting companies I have experienced in the last 10 years. If at all I ever get an opportunity to raft again, I will definitely use this company again. NO doubt about that. "
